Great Sand Dunes

On my way to Little Bear 14,037 ft i took the opportunity to spend two days in the Great Sand Dunes region. On day one we started at 5:00 am in order to enjoyed sunrise from the top of the dunes, it was just fantastic, the light, the curves of the dunes, the solitude made for an incredible experience. we then hike to Mosca pass and Zapata fall for added great views of the San Luis valley. tonight we are in Alamosa and tomorrow we will hike to Como lake to camp with plan to climb Little Bear friday morning early. Next week i will be base in Aspen for several weeks and if you had plan to climb one of the great fourteeners like Capitol (knife edge ridge), traverse south to North Maroon or Pyramid peak don’t hesitate to contact me. 1-970-209-3980.
