TOUR DU MONT BLANC, SUMMER2007: Itinerary 2008,click here
A fantastic itinerary crossing 5 passes, 3 countries, many alpine villages, cows and sheeps grazing the high
pastures, ibex and chamois bouncing over the cascades, marmots soaking the sun. You and your friends enjoying
each others company while walking way above the valley and below majestic glaciers.
HOME
A nice mountain trail links the entire tour but still require good, sturdy hiking shoes. The standard
equipment for alpine trek is necessary as the weather can change rapidly. It is not uncommon to have
a day of rain or snow. Gaiters, gloves, hat, warm clothes and goretex rain jacket and pants must be in
your pack at all time.
On August 9, 2007 it snowed 30cm. on top of
Grand Col Ferret (2,509m.) we still hiked over it
as everybody was well equipped and ready.
By the next day we hiked down the Val ferret,
enjoying warm weather and sunshine.
