TOUR OF GRAND PARADISO

Day 1: Meeting in Cogne. Ascent to Refugio Vittorio Sella (2,584m)

Time: 4/5 hours / +1030 meters vertical gain

Day 2: Ascent of Punta Rossa (3,630m) via the col de la Noire over the Trajoz glacier. Leaving the skis at the base of the ridge we will climb the summital ridge. Descent back to Vittorio Sella hut.

Time: 6/7 hours.  + and – 1046 meters vertical gain/los

Day 3: Ascent of Grand Serra (3,552m) via the Lauson glacier and the Grand Val glacier. Short technical section requiring rope work, then traverse on the west side towards the Col Grand Neyron and descent to Chabot hut.

Time: 9/ 10 hours. + 1000 meters up for 800 meters down

Day 4: Ascent of Grand Paradiso (4,061m) not technically difficult. Over the L Avaciau glacier. Descent via the Grand Paradis glacier to the refugio Victor Emmanuel II (2,752m). superbe daya t high altitude in the heart of the Alps.

Time: 6/8 hours. +1311 meters / -1329 meters

Day 5: Traverse of the Southern faces of the mountain range to Pontese hut (2,200m) via the col Grand Paradis (3,345m), col de Becchi (2,990m).

Time: 6/7 hours. +1043 meters up / – 1575 meters down

Day 6: Ascent of col Di Teleccio (3,304m), some steep slopes to climb were we will need to carry the skis. This is a south face and the snow is almost always hard which will require using crampons. We pass by the Becca de Valsorey superb granit needle. We will continue under the Torre del Grand San Pietro and enjoy an amazing descent of the Teleccio glacier then along the De Valeille valley to Cogne. A supeb day to finish the tour.

Time: 7/8 hours. +1100 meters up / – 1700 meters down
