WELCOME !! TO THE WINTER 2007 / 2008 NEWS LETTER
I hope your winter is going well and you are enjoying many great adventures in this cold beautiful environment. We are
experiencing good snow all over the Northern hemisphere. The Alps are well covered since November and the rockies are
being pounded by almost non stop storms since January.

For me, skiing is instant gratification. Each step on
the way up is enjoyable and each turn is just pure
pleasure. I measure each run by fun factor and i can
tell you so far this winter the fun factor is quite high !!!
I am looking forward to many more great turns, a lot of
fun as the spring ski touring season approach. I will be in
the Alps mostly sharing great skiing with many of you my
friends.

Climbing, trekking or sight seeing. New Zealand offers great opportunity for all. If you are tempted by an adventure down
under do not hesitate to contact me. I have worked with Gary Dickson IFMGA mountain guide from Wanaka who spend the
summer in Switzerland guiding out of Leysin and his wife Iris Aeberchly from switzerland who now runs the office in Wanaka
and lead treks around the country. Just a great friendly team.
SKI GUIDES TRAINING, BACKCOUNTRY SKI CAMP: Over the years i have enjoyed teaching ski guide course for
professional and recreational skiers. In January i skied few days with English mountain guides working on skiing techniques,
In Switzerland then i went to Aspen, Colorado for the AMGA ski guide course. A 12 days training course that included some
nights out , for a very cold biwy , just loved it. From aspen i moved back to Crested Butte for a shorter version of the
Backcountry ski camp as the storm kept most people at home shoveling. Finally we got few clear days and i was able to run
the ski guide training for Crested Butte mountain guides.
