Matterhorn 7 days program: including 5 days training and 2 days Matterhorn ascent
This is the best way to train, prepare the team for a successful ascent. This program include rock climbing, mountaineering,
snow and ice climbing an active rest day with agility exercises before climbing the Matterhorn
you will find below pictures of every step of the way. Bob from California and I met in Saas Fee at the end of July, we
transfer to Saas Almagell and hike to Almageller hut for 3 days of training. We climb the Dri-Hornli ridge a great rock climb,
then we ascent the Sonnighorn a fantastic peak great mountaineering practice and finally we traverse the Weissmeiss for
snow and ice and altitude training. We rest one day in Zermatt praticing for half day our agility in the Gorner gorge and we
successfully climb the Matterhorn.

Day 1: Arriving at the Almageller hut with amazing views over the Mishabel above Saas Fee
On the second day we traverse the Dri-Hornli ridge. a perfect rock climb
Day 3, an early alpine start brings us at the base of our climb, we are enjoying great views
over Italy and sharing time with Ibex.
We did not see a single other climber on that day
The Sonnighorn a great alpine peak
a mix climb of snow , ice and rock.
Day 4:
Another alpine start. We walked out
of the hut in the dark, hiked to the
pass and climb the south ridge, mix
rock and snow to the summit.
The descent is a great exercise
with crampons
we then transfer to Zermatt for
some rest before the big climb
Day 5
An active rest day, improving our agility in the
Gorner Gorge.
Day 6 -7 Matterhorn ascent
