LESYIN - GRIMSEL TREK
Day by day itinerary:
Day 1 : Arv in Switzerland. Transfer Geneva - Leysin (hotel: Chalet Ermina) The closest airport to leysin in Geneva,
transfer by train in 2 hours.
Day 2: Acclimatization in Leysin. ½ day climb. Via Ferrata of Tour D' Ai (hotel: Chalet Ermina) Sleep late, rest well, half day
activity (4 hours) above Leysin. The Via Ferrata allow you to climb to the summit of the tour D'Ai via the west face.
Day 3: Transfer from leysin to Gtseig. Hike to Gelten Hut 2002m. (CAS hut) Short bus transfer to Gsteig 1,184m. via Col
du Pillon, hike to the Gelten hut
Day 4: Ascent of Wildhorn 3,248 m. descent and traverse to Wilstrubel hut 2453m. (CAS hut) A none technical peak that
still require the use of crampons, rope, ice axe.
Day 5: Traverse from Wilstrubel hut to Geimmi pass via the Wilstrubel 3,243m. (lodge: Berghotel Wildstrubel) A long day
that will take us to the Ravil, Wilstrubel hut, glacier of Plaine Morte, summit of Wildstrubel and down to Geimmi pass
Day 6: From Geimmi pass to kandertseg (hotel: Victoria) An easy day, going down to Kandersteg via Schwarenbach.
Day 7: Kandersteg to Griesalp via the Hohturli pass , Blumisalp hut. (mountain lodge: Hotelzentrum) We will ride the chair
lift to Oeshinensee, hike to Blumisalp hut and Hohturli pass before going down to Griesalp
Day 8: Griesalp to Murren via the Sefinenfurke (hotel: Jungfrau) A beautiful hike, high up in the alpine landscape with
incredible view of the Breithorn, Jungfrau, Monch, Eiger.
Day 9: Murren to Klein scheidegg (lodge: Bahnhof-Scheidegg) An easy day with many options, hike some, ride the train to
wengen, lift to Mannlichen and hike to the Klein Scheidegg.
Day 10: Klein Scheidegg to Jungfraujoch, traverse to Concordia hut (CAS hut) Ride the train to the Jungfraujoch 3,573m.
(visit) in the heart of the Berner Oberland, cross the biggest glacier of the alps to the Concordia hut 2,850m.Possibility to
ascent a peak
Day 11: Concordia hut, Grunegghorn and traverse to Finsteraarhutte (CAS hut) An early alpine start will allow us to climb
first the Grunegghorn 3,860m. then traverse the Grunhornlucke 3,286m. to the Finsteraarhorn hut 3,048m.
Day 12: Finteraar hut to Grimsel pass, Interlaken (hotel Du Nord.) A long final day. From the Finster hut we will pass the
Gemslucke at 3,342m. traverse to Oberaarjoch at 3,223m. and down to Oberaasee 2,303 m. and Grimsel pass. Transfer
to Interlaken with Bus.
Difficulty: This tour require a good level of fitness. Each day is between 6 to 8 hours of hiking at a comfortable pace
along alpine trails, alpine ground, boulder fields, glaciers with some steep section. The most vertical up in one day is
4'573 ft. and down 5'831 ft. The average is 3000 to 4000 feet.

Notes:
Terrain: Alpine terrain vary from maintain trail, grassy field, snow neves, glaciers and boulder fields. This tour does not
require any climbing but some scrambling. This tour is for experience hiker.
Equipment: some technical equipment is necessary, harness, crampons, good hiking boots and ski poles. A full
equipment list is provided in the information packet.
Lodging: Hotel, double room. Inn, from double room to up to 6 beds in room.
(we do our best to provide private double rooms if available).
Mountain huts, dormitory style.
I recommend to fly into Geneva. It is an easy to transfer to Leysin. If you can arrive a few days before your tour it will help
greatly with jetlag.
