Clothing:

Think about layering. First a comfort layer against the skin that wick the moisture, the second layer for warmth,
the third layer protect against the element, wind, snow, rain. A fourth layer maybe added for extra warmth
under extreme condition.

Under extreme condition I recommend to wear for your top, a comfort layer against the skin like silk or
capeleine, second layer Turtle neck fleece type, third layer a Fleece jacket made of polartec 200,
windstoppper, finally a down jacket. Sometime it may require to wear a additional layer like goretex jacket or
vice versa.

Bottom. I recommend a pair of tight made of polartec, fleece, second a pair of climbing pants like fleece
windstopper or 4 ways stretch. All cover by a bib goretex pants. Plus an extra pair of primaloft pants for the
extreme cold day.

The layering system allow to adjust to all temperature.

Eyes
Sun glasses
Goggles
If you wear glasses make sure the goggles fit over

Sleeping bag:
A good sleeping bag make the difference, I use the Seti from mountain Hardwear in Antarctica and I never got
cold. I used a bag rated approximately –15F / -26C last year on Aconcagua. Make sure you have a bag that fit
well with plenty of room.

Sleeping pad:
One or two pads. For sure one of the pad must be a thermarest for comfort, a second pad  non inflatable for
safety purpose. To keep the cold from reaching you while you sleep it is very important  the combination of the
two pads. It make the difference.
